Stoke Albany Defibrillator

The Defibrillator can be used in an emergency when you suspect that someone may be having a cardiac arrest. It's really simple to use. Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with its location, means of access, and operation. You could save the life of someone close to you.

Location

The Defibrillator is housed in the old phone kiosk on the top green, beside the Parish Council Notice board.

The equipment itself is inside a bright yellow storage cabinet where the old telephone used to be.

To Gain Access To The Storage Cabinet

1. Phone 999.

2. Ask for "Ambulance".

3. Tell the ambulance despatcher... "I need the access code for a community defibrillator."

4. Give the Defibrillator ID Number (CPAD 1577) and the Post Code (LE16 8PX).

5. Punch the access code onto the keypad, and twist the handle.

Note: All this information is also displayed inside the kiosk.

Operation

The equipment is in the form of a small portable carry-case, containing an intelligent charger unit and some sticky pads that need to be attached to the patient.
